K C WARFORD AUXILIARY TRANSMISSION, 4 Additional speeds forward and two in reverse allows you the choice of overdrive, underdrive and direct gearing.

You cannot get this gear box stuck between gears, it has positive safe shifting while driving, . Improved design, plus computer CNC machining provide quiet, trouble- free operation.

Comes complete with the transmission, shifter, shift know and detailed installation instructions complete with diagrams..
Your drive shaft housing and shaft need to be shortened for installation.

That is correcct. Here is a list of gear ratios if you were using a 3.64 to 1 ring and pinion.

Is this a stand alone unit or does it need to be bolted to the transmission?

This bolts up to the back of the tranmssion and you have to relocate the u joint back a few feet.

What is the actual ratio of 1st and 3rd gears? Im looking to run this on a speedster . This has direct drive no bands or planeteries.

Here are the ratios when using a 11/40 pinion gear and ring gear combo.

Underdrive (1) 6.67
Direct (2) 3.64
Overdrive (3) 3.02
