This 12 Volt Delco alternator is made in the U.S.A. The 12 volt alternator lets you run halogen headlamps, a GPS, charge cell phones and run other things requiring 12 volts.
It directly replaces the model T generator and can be used on any Model T engine that originally used a generator. Installs using the same single wire that is used for generators. It has an internal regulator so there is no need to use a voltage regulator or generator cut-out.
An internal fan provides cooling while in use and larger cooling vent holes also provide increased cooling action.
The pinion drive gear is threaded onto the shaft for added strength.
Improved voltage stabilization has been achieved with the jumper wire to the output terminal. A larger bearing on the drive end of the alternator offers increased strength and durability. Rolled thread technology for the mounting threads provides improved strength for the mounting bolts.
The Delco alternator is rated at 70 amps when used on a modern car. It will easily produce up to 20-35 amps on the lower RPM Model T engine.
