Ball Bearing Universal ball cap, (4th main) Uses a high quality sealed bearing to eliminate oil leaks, vibration and crankshaft fatigue. Can be installed without removing the transmission to machine the tail shaft!! Has new cast silicone bronze housing, no need for an exchange core. Ball on drive shaft tube has to be cut  3/8” shorter in length and the sleeve that is supplied in this kit has to be machined to fit your tail shaft. Instructions included.

Questions and Answers
These are two a questions about the bearing fits in your ball cap: 1) Is the outer race of the ball bearing a press fit into the bronze housing, or is it a slip fit? 2) is the sleeve, which must have its Inside diameter bored to fit the exiting tail shaft, a press fit in the inner race of the ball bearing, or is it a slip fit? Thanks!
 The bearing is a press fit into the bronze housing and the sleeve is supposed to be bored to fit the tail shaft. In most cases the sleeve is just a press fit onto the tail shaft of the transmission.
